3Hutokshi Doctor began her career in mainstream media, holding senior editorial positions at The Times of India, Mumbai, The Independent and The Illustrated Weekly of India. For the last 15 years she has focused on communication for social change. Founder-Director of the Centre for Communication and Development Studies, Pune, that  builds knowledge resources for social change, she is also Founder-Editor of Infochangeindia.org, an award-winning portal that covers social justice issues in India. She is presently working on CCDS’ research on barriers to internet access for the urban poor. She has also managed several communication projects for non-profit organizations working for equitable and inclusive development.
