Shireen Said

With more than 20 years of in-depth expertise in law & justice accumulated during the time served in South African government, the United Nations and the private sector, Shireen brings a multi-disciplinary perspective to development issues. Her legal skills sharpened as a result of time served at the johannesburg bar defending cases around corporate governance, constitutional law, labour and administrative law.  In addition, she has extensive experience based on comparative legal systems having made several constitutional proposals to the South African constitution and contributed to constitution making processes whilst at the UN. Shireen has lead the UN Post 2015 Development agenda consultative process on governance and accountability and engages in thought leadership around global issues.
